*Hybrid WFH* Data Engineer (Scala Kafka AWS Databricks). Are you a data technologist who appreciates learning new technologies and working with them? As a Data Engineer, you will play a leadership position in a small team, assuming responsibility for the data streaming pipeline and collaborating with the Chief Data Scientist to implement his ideas and continuously drive product innovation. You'll be working with a modern tech stack, predominantly Scala, Kafka, and AWS Databricks, but also Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, and a variety of additional technologies (familiar with them all is not required!). Following a remote interview, you will be able to work from home the majority of the time, with monthly meetings in the London office (also potential to be fully remote). Requirements: You are an accomplished Data Engineer who appreciates utilising cutting-edge technology. You have a solid understanding of SQL (ideally PostgreSQL) You have prior knowledge of data streaming pipelines (Kafka) You have familiarity with AWS, preferably including Databricks. Scala programming is possible (Java or Kotlin also fine) You have a solid grasp of contemporary development environments, such as CI/CD, TDD, and Agile techniques. You like addressing problems collectively and are able to assume project responsibility and mentor others. You will earn a competitive income (up to £115k) plus benefits as a Data Engineer.
