What you intend to do A highly motivated Data Engineer is needed to join an experienced Data Capture & Engineering team in producing their next generation geospatial data. You will create, support, and manage automated processes that enhance and transform the business's large-scale data using big data technologies (mainly Databricks, an implementation of Apache Spark). Working in a forward-thinking agile environment, this role will challenge you to create scalable and dependable solutions to generate high-quality data that will be used in the company's data products. You will have a logical approach to analyzing and interpreting requirements, allowing you to successfully control the gathering of geographic data by applying your knowledge and solving complicated challenges. What you will require to be successful - Abilities and Technologies: We are looking for someone who can demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas: working with complicated geospatial data and a logical approach to problem resolution. Data structure knowledge and database querying experience are required. What is software engineering? a language or languages (such as Scala or Python) Experience with Apache Spark/Databricks. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
